Here are my thoughts about movement. God designed us to take shape through our movement and to know Him.
We develop continually through movement. Movement is the first communication in the womb. It is through developmental movement, that we first explore our world. This is how we grow. And it is how we renew.
It is like we have a network similar to a nervous system. That exists before our known nervous system. It is an unknown nervous system. A blueprint of how we are put together. It starts to form us immediately upon conception.
Our body and our senses gather information, through this unknown nervous system,
and deliver it to the subconscious mind. The subconscious is located in the hindbrain.
The part of the mind of which one is not fully aware but which influences one’s actions and feelings.
This unknown nervous system ushers in the cortical brain and the central nervous system. The cortical brain is where synapses happen for enhanced control. The cortical brain takes over for the most part. It is the most acknowledged nervous system.
I believe an unknown nervous system is actually housed in the facia and the subconscious brain. It conducts information. It is spontaneous and has strength, even supernatural strength. I choose to train at this level.
I am talking about the physical body and our ability to produce power and strength, but I am also speaking of the spiritual part of us. It is like this system also houses our spiritual self. There is only one Creator God and He is the God of the Bible. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.
We are identified and recognized by our gesture. Think about it, everyone is so unique in the way we carry our body and communicate through our distinct gesture. Gesture takes shape as you move through development.
A return to childlike movement is a return to the inward part. It is a way of taking care of that part. The part that is spiritually connected to God, who is Creator. The part that is your gesture, which includes your natural posture. The part that is your mind. The part that is hidden. The part that when tended has you readied for anything.
“Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.” - Psalm 51:6
